Catering

Catering services are provided by Baxterstorey and the contract is managed on a day to day basis by the FASS General Manager, Karen Brading

After a commercial, competitive tendering process in 2009, Baxterstorey won the three-year contract to offer a canteen service, including hot meals in the Rosemary Rue restaurant and a café-style service in the Tulip Tree café in the Richard Doll Building.

In Jan 2013, following the opening of the ORCRB cafe, the contract was extended until 2015 and now includes all buildings on the Old Road Campus.

All outlets are now open to anyone working on this site**

The contract with Baxterstorey is managed by a joint committee represented by staff from DPH, CTSU, ORCRB and WTCHG.

  • The Rosemary Rue restaurant provides a full restaurant service and can be found in the building just behind the Rosemary Rue Building. Rosemary Rue restaurant also sells daily and local newspapers, as well as confectionery and a range of non-food items.

  • Opening hours are 8.30am – 4pm

  • The Tulip Tree Cafe can be found in the Richard Doll Building.

  • Opening hours are 9am – 3.30pm.** To gain access to the Richard Doll building contact Jamie Cameron on 01865 743867 or by email at  jamie.cameron@ctsu.ox.ac.uk or by going in person to the Richard Doll Reception area between 9.30 and 10am on Mondays.

  • ORCRB cafe (Green Building)
  • Opening hours are 8am – 4pm. To gain access sign in as a visitor via ORCRB Reception.
  • Henry Wellcome cafe (WTCHG)
  • Opening hours are 8am – 4.30pm. To gain access sign in as a visitor via WTCHG Reception.
Hospitality

A hospitality catering service is also available to provide buffet lunches and refreshments for all meeting requirements. Hospitality can also be provided for more specific events.
